The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a new scooter or powered wheelchair. If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance, Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment, War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement or Armed Forces Independence Payment and have at least 12 months of your award remaining, you could be eligible to join the scheme.
